Maltings Project
Complete Control upgrade from Moore APACS and Wonderware InTouch to System Platform with Schneider M580 hot standby PLC’s and X80 remote I/O, 2500 I/O points.
The project involved replacing now obsolete APACS equipment and giving site a 10-15-year future.
We carried out the electrical design, panel design, network configuration and worked closely with site management and the electrical installation company.
The further requirements were to improve yield and improve energy efficiency. Both criteria were achieved.
The project was planned around a 6-week shutdown and was I/O checked and in production within this small window.
Bottling Plant
We were approached by a large supplier of equipment to the bottling industry to carry out the modifications to the syrup supply for a new line that was being installed.
This entailed designing and supplying a remote panel with Flex I/O on device net. We modified the program along with the Wonderware SCADA to accommodate the new route to the line along with the CIP.
Cross communications were carried out by using a Prosoft card that converted Ethernet IP to Siemens Ethernet.
